While a mattress can be used without a box spring, we don't recommend it. First, the nature of foams and fibers is to absorb moisture, so lifting a mattress off the floor promotes better air circulation to help reduce the impact.
Second, a matching box spring will help prolong the life of the mattress. Finally, the normal wear to which a mattress is subjected will be more even across the mattress when used with a matching box spring. Thank you for choosing Serta. We do not recommend folding or rolling your mattress again as a machine was used to compress it initially. You should move it like you would a traditional spring mattress. When transporting a mattress, we recommend covering it completely to protect from any stains or damage and laying it flat. If you cannot lay it flat and transport it vertically, this should not cause long term damage to the mattress although you will want to lay the mattress flat and allow a couple of days for the foam layers to even out. The gel foam mattress topper is too big for the mattress I just placed the 48 hour rested gel foam topper on our king bed.
It is too long by about 5 inches. At least this covers the tears in the topper caused by the machine that glues the boxes together snagging the topper and tearing it on two matching sides (when rolled up).
How do I get this topper either the proper length? Cut it carefully? What is the wrranty on these items? Also, I just brought the topper, int the box I received it, down to Mexico so this complicates the issues a bit. Please help me quickly. Thank you Rick. Thanks for being a valued Serta customer.
All of our mattresses and box springs are covered by our manufacturer's warranty against defects. If your box spring broke due to damage from moving or sudden force, this may not be covered by warranty.
In this case, your store of purchase can help you purchase a replacement box spring. If you are experiencing an issue that you believe is covered by warranty, then you can contact your store of purchase for assistance with a replacement under warranty. If you have moved or your store of purchase has closed, you can call us at 1 (888) 557-3782.
Developped back pain I bought a Queen Everfeel Genius mattress four months ago. From the first night I started with back pain that I did not have before with my 22 years old Pillow Top mattress. The sales person told me that it would take 30 days to adjust at least. Four months after I wake up with back pain that subsides during the next couple of hours after getting up and develops again during the night.
I tried all the positions of the adjustable foundation. I travel significantly and when I sleep at hotels most of the times I do not have back pain (Marriott and Sheraton). What is going on with this mattress? Thanks for choosing Serta. If a mattress is not comfortable for you, then it may not be the right level of comfort and support that your body needs. This all-foam mattress is built quite differently when compared to a traditional innerspring pillow top mattress.
Most hotels also use innerspring mattresses. While many customers have told us that they love this particular model, it may be too firm for you.
If you are still within the 120 day trial period, you should contact your store of purchase to discuss your options. You can call us at 1-888-557-3782 if you need further assistance. When will VIP Reward points be added to my account? I have 2 mattress purchases 'approved' on my VIP account: purchase dates of and.
On your website (Ask the Experts, in response to another customer's question) I see: 'Thanks for choosing Serta and enrolling in VIP rewards! Once you register, you can make your first redemption of $100 after 120 days.' Although it is now almost 150 days since I registered the first purchase, your system indicates I have no points to redeem.
I would like to redeem points ASAP. How many digits is the serial number on the law tag of an iSeries mattress? I recently purchased a King iSeries mattress set and need to obtain the serial number from the law tag to redeem a promotion. There are multiple numbers on the law tag, any of which might be the serial number. Does anyone know which number is most likely the serial number? There is a 9-digit number printed as part of the bar code, and a separate 4-digit number, and then an 8-character mix of numbers and letters.
I also see the model number but that is not unique to the mattress so I assume that is not it. Thanks very much. Thanks for choosing Serta! Every mattress comes with our warranty brochure which details what your limited warranty does and does not cover. There is no additional card attached.
Because you purchased an iSeries mattress, you also qualify for our VIP Rewards program where you can enroll online and earn $100 per year towards the purchase of your next Serta mattress, up to $1,0000. When you enroll in this program, we will automatically register your warranty. You should have received a VIP Rewards brochure with your mattress with registration instructions. If you cannot locate this, please call us at 1-855-407-3782. My options for warranty on my new mattress. Without contacting the retailer, which I have already done and they referred us to you, what are my options on getting my money back. Here is the situation, we purchased a memory foam mattress 1 year 2 months ago from a retailer, it broke down badly so we warrantied it to get a pillow top.
We have slept on it for 3 nights and it is as uncomfortable as the last. We want our money back on this $800 mattress.
What can we do? Oh, one side is already showing signs of wear, after 3 nights. We are sorry to hear that your new mattress hasn't been the right comfort match for you. Pillow top mattresses tend to be on the softer side of the comfort scale and while many love this level of comfort, others simply prefer something firmer. Every Serta mattress is protected against manufacturing defects per the terms of our warranty. We will post a link to our warranty brochure so you can see what this does and does not covered.
We are not able to offer refunds on purchases made at retail, because the exchange of funds was between you and the retailer. Any refund policies are set by the retailer and not by Serta. Serta I-comfort Queen I bought a matress on 06/24/14 at a furniture place, i just noticed the matress is leaking from the bottom in between matress and box spring. The top surface is intact no stains or anything. I contacted the furniture place and they are telling me they can't do anything about it. Giving me so many excuses and even saying the manufacturing company will not take responsbility either.
I noticed on the tags that this matress was manufactured on and i bought on. My question is can the furniture place sell matress that are that old? We aren't sure what you mean by the mattress 'leaking' as there are no liquid materials used in these mattresses that would cause such an issue. We would need to know more about the exact issue in order to understand what's happening and how we can help you. Most retailers will deliver mattresses to your home that are very recently made. It is possible that a retailer could sell an older mattress, depending on how long it's been in their inventory and on other factors.

The issues I am having is I get over heated during the night and my mattress loses its firmness/contour creating areas of softness.
I find myself 'sinking' into the mattress during the night. I also wake up experiencing extreme hot spots where my body makes contact with the mattress.
What can I do to change this; I am not sleeping well and have not for months. Here is what I have done based on the suggestions from the store where I purchased the mattress. I purchased a gel mattress pad and a Cooling Gel mattress pad to help, nothing at this point has helped. What can be done? I cannot afford to purchase a new mattress. Please help and thank you. Thanks for choosing Serta.
Memory foam by nature is temperature-sensitive and is designed to conform to the body by responding to body weight and pressure. If heat build up is an issue for you, we suggest looking at the top of bed items that you are using (sheets, pillows etc.) to make sure that these are made from breathable fabrics. You may want to look at our iComfort brand sheets and pillows which are designed to promote airflow and reduce heat build up. There are many other factors that can contribute to heat build up at night, including room temperature and sleep clothing. You can call us at 1-888-557-3782 to discuss this further.
Warranty Issue? We have had a queen size Paula Deen Serta for less that 2 years and both sides that we sleep on have a noticable concave and there is no support on those sides any longer, the only 'support' on the mattress is in the center.
You can actually stand back and see the shape of the mattress and how it has changed. We are both of normal height and weight if not under normal. I am wondering what my options are at this point as i don't feel the quality is up to the standards of the serta brand. Store not listed in Serta VIP Rewards registration I purchased a Serta Acumen mattress from Steinhafels Furniture in Brookfield, WI. When I attempted to register at there are no stores named Steinhafels available to select, thus the form will not let me complete my registration.

Is there an alternate store name I should use instead of Steinhafels to complete registration, or can Steinhafels be added to the list of options? I have the receipt if needed. The exact address is below: Steinhafels Furniture 18895 W. Bluemound Road Ste 1 Brookfield, WI 53045. Your Serta VIP Rewards registration code can be found on the VIP Rewards brochure attached to your mattress.

I think this style is exclusive to QVC until sometime next year. We received our mattress last week. I noticed that it does not have any pulls on the sides to help lift and turn. Is this common nowadays?
How often should this mattress be turned? We are pleased with the comfort of this mattress. I'm just beginning to tell a difference. I've been told to allow two weeks to see a difference and I along with my husband are seeing the difference after one week. Thanks for choosing Serta! We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying the mattress.
Not all Serta mattresses made today have side handles; it depends on the type and construction of the mattress. Whether or not we include handles depends on whether or not certain placement will make them helpful in lifting and rotating the mattress. So, it is common today to get a mattress without handles. Rotating the mattress is not required, but doing so can help even out normal wear and this can be done once every several months to start and then as often as once per month depending on what you prefer. Thanks for choosing Serta and we hope that we can assist you in resolving this issue. Since we do require proof of purchase for warranty service, we suggest contacting your bank or credit card company as documentation from either will suffice.
As for dealing with a dip in a mattress, the first thing to do is check to see that the bed has proper center support from the frame if it is a queen or king size mattress. If you have the proper frame, then we can assist you by setting up an inspection to determine what is causing the issue. You can call us at 1-888-557-3782 to start a warranty claim. Required King Support for wooden bed I just purchased an iSeries Vantage King Set.
I have looked at the Warranty Brochures but am unclear on how many center supports I need to keep warranty in place when using a wooden bed frame. I have 2 cross bed metal supports each with 2 feet on them currently. They are screwed in to the wooden foundation support on the inside of the wooden rails. Is this adequate? My second question is would more be 'better'? I would like the minimal requirement to keep warrant in place and your suggestion for optimal support to extend the life of my new set. If I buy a King Adjustable Foundation and a Serta matress to go with it from SEARS do I still get the Serta promotion for Labor Day for your Serta Labor Day promotion is to 'save up to $1000 off any iComfort & iSeries product.'
On your website when I put in my zip code 75116 it gave me SEARS as one of the stores in my area that honors your promotion. But, I don't see the promotion noted at the 'checkout' online at their website. I have the 'Vantage Plush King Mattress by Serta iSeries' and 'Motion Custom King Adjustable Foundation by Serta iComfort' in my cart.
But, before I purchase it, I wanted to be sure I got the promotion applied? My total is $3899. Will the warranty pass to the next owner I have to sell our new iSeries. We missed the date to trade it for another model and it's too.strong? It pushes my upper body up higher than my lower, making my back seize up in the middle of the night.
So we're selling it. We've kept a waterproof dust mite cover on it the whole time we've had it, it's good as new, really, so I'm wondering if, should we pass on our receipts and stuff when we sell it, the warranty will remain intact for the next owners.
That is, if they then also take good care of it and use a cover. This sounds like normal wear from where you and your husband are sleeping night after night. The foams and fibers underneath where you sleep are exposed to weight and body temperature night after night, whereas that area in the middle is probably not being slept on by either of you. If the mattress is still comfortable, you probably don't want to change much because comfort is what matters most. You can try rotating the mattress, or see if one of you can try moving towards the area that hasn't been slept on for several nights. If these tips don't help you please call us at 1-877-468-3540. Our iSeries Applause is killing my back I have slept beautifully on Perfect Sleepers, so we went to buy one but got talked around to the Applause.
I waited too long to kick up a fuss about the pain and now we're well past the 90-day return time. I haven't slept more than 5 hours at a shot without waking up with seizing obliques and serratus anteriors since we got it. And not sure what to do. It's always had a cover, but I don't know if Sears can do anything for us.
Also, I don't know which Perfect sleeper to get- I slept like the dead on a euro-topped PS something in Bayfield, WI 2 years ago, a pillow topped Perfect something else in California.I just know the iSeries hurts. So, what should I get and how?
Innerspring mattresses are defined as defective if the sag is 1.5' or greater. Does this standard apply to memory foam mattresses as well? Our memory foam (Serta) mattress has sagged so much that my husband and I cannot get a good night's sleep anymore. Since memory foam 'bounces' back when you get up, the standard method of determining sag doesn't seem to apply. Get in the bed and one soon realizes he/she is sleeping in a hole.
Seems to me, the standard for an inner spring mattress should not apply to memory foam. Am I correct?
Mattress Warranty on a platform bed with slats I am a small person (4'11' high) I am considering buying a king suze Applause mattress. It measures 13.5 inches high. If I put it on a low-profile (5 inch) foundation on top of the slats on my bed, it will be too high for me to get in and out of the bed without using a bench. The salesperson indicated that the solution is either to put the mattress on a bunky board on top of the slats or directly on the slats and that either way would not invalidate the warranty on the mattress. My bed slats are 3/4' thick and 1 3/4' wide and they go across the bed from one end to the other. In addition there are 2 2x2 supports in the middle of the king size bed platform. Is the salesperson correct, that using the mattress in this manner without the foundation would not invalidate the warranty.
Thanks for being a valued Serta customer! Our mattress technology has changed quite a bit since 2002. The model you have is no longer in production and the models we make today feature all new comfort and support features. Since it's been 13 years, we suggest visiting your local retailer and trying the new models out in person given the changes in technology.

What would be the minimum measurements of a full sized bed frame that would accomodate a full size mattress and box spring. I found a antique bed that is supposedly full size, but someone who measured the inner dimensions of the bed frame stated that the length is 74 inches and width is 53 inches.
I think that a full size mattress and foundation measures 75 inches by 54 inches. I am interested in your icomfort savant mattress in a full size. Is there any way that this mattress would fit in this antique bed frame, headboard, footboard, with side rails? Do any of your mattresses ever end up being a little smaller than the standard? I know that that is an unusual question, but I need to know my options.
Thank you for your time. Stains may affect the validity of the warranty even if there is a product defect. We take in consideration the size & location of stain or stains and their proximity to a product defect. There is the possibility the mattress will be considered unsanitary, or that a liquid stain has compromised (or damaged) the foam layers below the surface. That is why when asked about cleaning a mattress we suggest a damp cloth as any liquid will compress the foam. We recommend taking this back to your store of purchase for discussion or you can reach out to our customer service department by calling 888-55-SERTA.
Serta's warranty will cover body impressions that meet or exceed the threshold listed in your product's warranty. However stains may affect the validity of the warranty even if there is a product defect.

Bowing in the middle of my Serta Esperanza purchased at Macy's I purchased a queen sized Serta Esperanza mattress in December of 2008 from the local Macy's store that is no longer here in Missoula, MT. I absolutely love the mattress and after researching online, I'm sad to see it's no longer for sale.
My problem is this - over the years my mattress has bowed in the middle and, in order to best describe what sharing the mattress is like; if there are two people laying in the bed, we feel like we're going to roll into each other. Since it's been so many years now, do I have any right to a warranty replacement or fix from the manufacturer? Thank you, Kyle. I purchased a serta presidential king, mattress and box springs from Guest Services I was told by the rep.
That because I had slept on the mattress in a hotel, for one night, that usually those who purchase these mattresses ( that we had slept in at a hotel) were not eligible for the '45 day get a better sleep warranty', because we had already slept on one. MY question is if that is the case, then how come all other purchasers get a sleep warranty of 30-120 day warranty after sleeping on it for the period of their warranty and we only get one night (at a hotel, no less)? That sounds pretty screwy to me logically speaking!!! We’d be happy to clear up some confusion. While a warranty is regarding manufacturer defects, a comfort guarantee is typically offered to make sure they like the product. Because shopping in a retail outlet doesn’t allow for a full night’s rest, our retailers often offer a 30-45 day comfort guarantee with an exchange for another item in their store. If you purchase a hotel mattress through Serta's Guest Purchase Department after experiencing a great night's sleep, a comfort guarantee isn't typically offered since you've already experienced sleeping on the mattress.
However, if you are having any sort of comfort issues with the Presidential Suite, we’d be happy to discuss the possibility of a return if you call us at 877-468-3540. Thanks for your interest in Serta. Tossing and turning is often caused by pressure build up at key areas of the shoulders and hips, especially for side sleepers.
When shopping for a new mattress, you should look for pressure-relieving features that will help reduce the pressure build up that causes tossing and turning. We would suggest looking at our new gel memory foam mattresses, all designed to provide pressure relieving comfort while also helping to move heat away from the body at the sleep surface. Combined, these benefits can help you stay sleeping comfortably for longer with less tossing and turning. We offer our iComfort gel memory foam mattresses mattresses as well as our iSeries gel memory foam/innerspring hybrid mattresses if you aren’t ready to switch to all-foam.
We suggest visiting your local Serta retailer to try out the different models in person to see what’s best for you. What is the warranty for mattresses sold from a whole seller.
I see posts for warehouse whole sellers selling 'new' mattresses out of a warehouse. Something about it seems fishy to me. If you can confirm that these dealers in east Windsor CT are authorized dealers I will feel comfortable but I want to be confident before buying a used or fake mattress. I really want a quality Serta mattress but my search had let me to some pricy option so far. Please let me know soon so I can get a good night sleep.
Your Serta mattress is protected against manufacturing defects, including sagging/body impressions beyond the threshold that determines what is normal wear as outlined in your warranty brochure. Normal wear over time can cause the mattress foams and fibers to feel softer where your body lays night after night versus other areas of the mattress exposed to less wear. To address your specific issue, we suggest rotating the mattress now that you have switched sides to see if this helps resolve the issue.
Please call us at 1-888-55-SERTA (1-888-557-3782) for further assistance. Model Roma/ST02 warranty?
Does not show, but I can feel the 'sag' when I lay down I purchased a Serta Roma Model ST02 2/17/13 and I'm not sure if I have a warranty replacement on my hands or not. The bed does not show visible signs of sag but when I lay in the bed I sink down quite a bit way more than I would expect to. I have lower back problems and we purchased this bed hoping it would help, and it did up until about a month and a half ago the bed is about 6 months old and I'm feeling a little disappointed in it. I am unsure how to tell if it needs to be replaced or it is just 'broken in' Thank you for your reply. Brand New-body impressions already I purchased a king size Serta Perfect Sleeper 'Preston Heights' set from my local retailer.
I purchased it April 22, 2013 and it was delivered @ 10 days later. It is now June 21, 2013. I have rotated the mattress already and have noticed body impressions already? We paid almost $1,500 for this set and to have this already happening is an issue? I tried to look on your site for the model we purchased and don't see it anywhere. Is this an issue of the retailer selling us something that doesn't exist?
I called the retailer and they are scheduling an appointment to look at it? Is this normal for this type of impressions to appear so soon? Thanks for choosing Serta. Body impressions that are the result of normal wear can be expected, especially on softer mattresses.
Remember that the top layer of a mattress is made of foams and fibers, and foams and fibers respond to body weight and pressure. Typically, body impressions should not be severe or cause discomfort. We don't have much detail on the particular type of mattress you have (firm, plush, pillow top) so we would say that contacting the retailer is the right thing to do.
This way the retailer can tell you if there is a problem with the mattress, or if the impressions are the result of normal wear and discuss your options. We don't list every individual Serta Perfect Sleeper model we make on our website because many models are retailer-exclusive or only available in particular to an area. This is because we are a 'just in time' manufacturer, with our products all assembled by hand at our local plants. This process allows us to build mattresses to a variety of specifications, and we don't warehouse any product. Rather, we only build what's been ordered by our retailers. We do make a Perfect Sleeper under this name, and you can always check the mattress law tag for confirmation. We hope this information is helpful!
Thanks for choosing Serta! Our Masterpiece mattresses have been out of production for several years, and mattress technology has changed greatly since you made this purchase. You may like one of our new Perfect Sleeper Smart Surface Elite mattresses, or one of our Perfect Day iSeries mattresses which, like your Masterpiece, are made with advanced and durable innerspring systems and advanced comfort layers. You can learn more about these products by visiting our website and choosing Shop by Collection from our main menu.
Slatted bed frame and warranty Hi, I just bought a mattress without the box spring and am looking to get a platform bed frame. The salesperson who sold me the mattress told me that using a slatted frame could void the warranty, and that I should use a solid base instead. Except: it turns out that nobody sells solid bed bases, and all affordable platform frames use slatted bases. I can't find anything on the Serta website that states that use of a slatted base without additional support would void a warranty. Can someone clarify this for me?
Unfortuantely, we aren't able to determine the model based on the information given, but we'd first start checking with the retailer where you've purchased. Since models and names can be exclusive to certain retailers, it'd be best to start with them.
If by chance you aren't successful, you can always reach out to us and we can see how we can best assist you. You can contact us at SertaCare@gmail.com if you find that you do need further help and we can help figure out your specifc bed model and other info.
